This multifaceted team contributes over 75 years of combined industry experience, in areas spanning the entire midstream oil and gas value chain.

  • Michael Walsh

    President and Chief Executive Officer

    Michael Walsh is President and Chief Executive Officer of Canyon Midstream Partners. Previously, Michael was a co-founder of Delphi Midstream Partners, LLC, a partnership that acquired Laser Northeast Gathering Company. Michael served as Laser’s Chief Financial Officer and SVP of Commercial and Corporate Development until the company was sold to Williams Partners in February 2012.Prior to founding Delphi, Michael was a founding member of Highstar Capital, a family of infrastructure-focused private equity funds where he led the midstream energy investment strategy, including the acquisitions and sales of Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline and Stagecoach Gas Storage. Michael also served as CEO of Southern Star Central during Highstar’s ownership.Michael holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Illinois.

  • Dale Harper

    Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations

    Dale Harper is Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Canyon Midstream Partners. Previously Dale served as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Laser Midstream, where he was responsible for the design and operation of the pipeline systems and surface facilities. He has over 25 years of experience in the petroleum chain, from operating petrochemical plants to risk management.Dale began his career at Amoco Chemical as a process engineer, working in various chemical plants throughout Texas and Illinois before being promoted to plant manager. Following Amoco, he worked for Exxon USA negotiating supply agreements for the refinery and chemical plants. Dale left Exxon to join Nuevo Energy as Director of Marketing and Risk and was part of the transition team following the merger with Plains Exploration and Production.Dale holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University and an MBA from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL.

  • Mark Fuqua, PE

    Senior Vice President of Commercial and Business Development

    Mark Fuqua is Senior Vice President of Commercial and Business Development for Canyon Midstream Partners. Previously, Mark was one of the original founders of Laser Midstream Energy and was the Vice President of Business Development of Laser Northeast Gathering Company.Prior to joining Laser, Mark started Gulf Shore Energy, LLC, which developed a biodiesel project on the Houston Ship Channel that was sold to Green Earth Fuels and Goldman Sachs. From 2002 to 2005, Mark was a partner in Multifuels Energy Asset Group, LLC, where he led the acquisition of over 300 miles of active pipelines until the sale to Genesis Energy in 2005.In 1996, Mark joined Midcoast Energy Resources as one of the original members and served as President of Midcoast Marketing Inc. Prior to its sale to Enbridge in 2002, Midcoast grew to over 300 employees and over $600 million in assets.Mark holds a BS in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He is also President of the Treasure Island Municipal Utility District, Chairman of the Brazoria County Beach Restoration Task Force, member of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Dotterweich Chair Advisory Board, and a member of the Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Engineering Advisory Council.
